Hello dear reader and welcome to my blog! I feel very excited to be able to reach out to you!
A few words about me…
I am a former Biology Teacher and currently Leader of environmental education activities in Athens Greece. I coordinate the projects of almost 150 schools and provide training, support and counseling to secondary education teachers and students. I feel very passionate about promoting environmental understanding, helping people adopt more sustainable practices and implementing projects that have a positive effect on their lives. However, this pursuit is not new to me as from my teen years I had already started to lead an environmental protection group with my classmates, organising activities that transformed our small community in Palaio Faliro-Athens in the 1990s. Over the years I have also been developing engaging and innovative science education activities for my students, helping them prepare for their university education. These activities have gained international attention and brought me in close collaboration with European experts in the field of Life Science Education such as the European Learning Laboratory for the Life Sciences (ELLS – EMBL) with whom I had the privilege to work as Visiting Teacher.
